Realistic yet still superior advice

Lyle consistently delivers: no drivel, no wasted space, no fluff- just easy to read and understand information that doesn't patronize the reader.

This is a terrific (dare I say it?) Lifestyle book. It is less about one particular way of dieting (though it covers several methods) than about how to maintain weight loss and health for life. I would consider it absolutely a must-have for anyone concerned with fitness and weight loss.

Wonderful Book

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. The author has a writing style that made this book both very easy and fun to read. I recommend to book to anyone who has ever failed a diet because they were too rigid in their ways, and to all dieters in general. The book provides excellent information that can be used by anyone. I suggest buying Lyle McDonald's other books as well, they are all quality work from an excellent author.

Best guide to dieting and staying lean for life, a livable plan!

Let me anoint you: Lyle Mc Donald is a bit of an Ass.…but as a former fat girl, fitness business owner, and a woman he is who I go to and recommend for all dietary information. He knows his ish… if you are a Mormon, who hates foul language or can't handle the truth, buy a book from someone one on the Biggest Loser with a catchy title and false promises...
BUT: If you want just enough science to understand but not hurt your brain about Fat loss this book is for you. If you want a guide that gives you flexibility in your diet while actually having a life, this book is for you. If you enjoy dry humor and want someone to give it to you straight with no chaser, Lyle is your guy. He injects his personality into this easy how- to guide. The book gives you the tools for being lean for life. And that is, well... its priceless. Buy this book.
