Like an Odd Dream with a little Horror

This was a well told, interesting Kindle short. It reminded me of an odd dream where everything seems real but nothing is really as it should be. There is no good way to explain the story without giving too much away (although there really is no beginning, middle, or ending, it just 'is'. )

It is easy to read into where the tale is going but then, it doesn't. But that is what makes it good. It is not contrived or common.

A quick and quirky tale that left me wanting to read more of Mr. Hill's work.

I am a Joe Hill fan since reading his work the first time. He doesn't disappoint.

My Father's Mask was a great read--and I love my Kindle as well!!
This story is also part of the 20TH Century Ghost book--also a GREAT read.

I recommend these to anyone who enjoys authors such as Deaver,Koontz and Kellerman...oh yeah, and King.

You should set aside plenty of time because you won't want to put these books down.

Largely unreadable.

Purchased and read this book for an academic course. Perhaps the most difficult book I've ever had to read. With the exception of a few chapters the material is overcomplicated and a struggle to decipher. Personally, I don't have time to sift through the convolutions of this writing style. I almost think the authors/editors produced this book to drum up consulting business for themselves. After I struggled through a chapter on a key concept and barely understood it, I would simply Google it, find other sources, and realize that it was really a fairly simple concept to learn. It's too bad because this should be an excellent handbook of PSMs. The editors have assembled a useful collection of tools and techniques, and the format (a chapter on the concept followed by a chapter showing a real world practical application of the concept) appears to be designed to be highly pedagogical. This might be ok as a supporting reference but don't make it your primary text on problem structuring methods.

Little Star is "Big" in the Eyes of Jesus!

The story of Christmas has been told so many times. We have heard it. We all know it. We sing of it for weeks each year. It is beautiful just the way it is. It seems to say everything.

Every now and then, however, someone comes along with a bright imagination, who can add a twist that seems to bring out an untold aspect or unseen beauty of the story. It doesn't need to be real. We all learn from myths because they can express the truth about something that leaves us with new meaning and gives us a way to teach values in a powerful and special way.

That's what Anthony DeStefano has done for us in this latest of Children's Books. It is very enjoyable book. It contains a very nice Christmas story for young children. It also presents a value that they can understand and that we want them to learn as part of living. The story and message is one which I think children will think about, one which they will remember, and one which they can try out living in their lives. They can learn, even at an early age, the fulfillment they can experience in loving Jesus and in making real sacrifices to love Him and others.

We have had our Deacons (as Santa Claus) read this to our children two years in a row at our Christmas Children's Masses. It was received well because it was directed specifically to these young people (although all the parents thoroughly cherished it). We also used another of his books on Palm Sunday, The Donkey That No One Could Ride.

It's well done, illustrates the book, and captures the flavor of it well. It kind of gives you a chance to try it on before buying! Every Christian child should have this book !!!

This is a lovely book for children which sends a message about giving of self for a purpose... and justifies the decision to use
stars on the top of Christmas trees instead of other bits and bobs. Even the youngest child would enjoy the story, and
it adds to the festivity of trimming the Christmas tree. This book is a keeper. Adults will have something to think about.

Author eliminates information about how Rx drugs affect cycle; critical!

I own and have read both the 10th anniversary edition and this one. I am very disappointed in the author of this edition because, rather than expanding the information on how prescription drugs affect a woman's cycle, fertility, and period, she completely left it out and ignored it like it doesn't even exist. As a woman who used to take a medication that wrecked my charts and caused vertical zig-zag patterns not even mentioned in the book, I have to say that it seems like Toni is trying to avoid getting in trouble with Pharma. So many women these days seem to use one form or another of medication, and almost all of them interfere with your cycle in some way, so this is pretty big info that she left out. I would have liked to see her expand on it.

Sorry Toni, but if you are truly interested in helping a woman take charge of her cycle, you should have left in your drug table that correlates which drug causes which cycle problem. In fact, you should have expanded the table and devoted a whole chapter to it. I would have liked to have seen some example charts of woman who take various common Rx drugs and what their temps did. This would have saved me 6 months of despair, worry, and anger from not knowing what was going on.

Ladies who are on a Rx drug, order the older book, at least the author briefly addresses how the Rx will affect your cycle.

A must read for all women!

I learned so much from reading this book! The previous edition was referred to in my circles as "the magic book" because it helped so many people conceive. The new edition covers significantly more material than the previous one, and I believe the title of this book is too limiting for all the info inside. THIS BOOK IS ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN FERTILITY! It's an important, practical reference about women's bodies that should be required reading for all women. This book helps readers understand women's cycle and changes that happen to women throughout each month, and over the years. It has helped me feel 'normal' and understand that 'normal' is a range of body types and timeframes. There are also sections about sex and even the elusive g-spot. I can not recommend this book enough, whether you are seeking fertility help or not.

Every woman should read this book at some point in their life. Why they don't teach this in high school or why more doctors don't advocate this is beyond me. Worth every penny.

buy it only if it necessary.

The Content is OK, but somehow its over simplify some aspects.
However, the major issues are printing and the paper quality that are poor.
It so wide spread that some part almost in any page (all Code examples) are hard to read due: gray printing color, low resolution font (you actually could see the dots that combine the characters) and also its not printing on fully white paper in addition the font type selection for the C# examples is not suitable for that matter .

Excellent book!

This is a well-written and pragmatic approach to enabling teams to get on the same page about adaptive coding and SOLID principles. The book does a good job of marrying the topics of Agile, design patterns, and SOLID together by describing the relationship between them and how they complement one another. The author starts off with an overview of Agile, the need for adaptive code in order to adapt to rapidly changing requirements, and the importance of managing dependencies and creating a layered architecture such that the overall architecture is structured in a way that promotes adaptability.
However, it’s an excellent resource for intermediate to advanced developers looking to take their coding to the next level. I would recommended this book.

I highly recommend this book. This book contains fundamentals of the C# programming language. It is specifically written for beginners who have little knowledge on writing codes and running programs. It give the reader an overview of C# that even includes interesting facts such as its history and its advantage over other programming language. It also provides useful information regarding the installation of C#. This book will give beginners to fully understand C# and its powerful use.
What I like the most about this book is the fact that it is very informative. There are many mindfulness books out there that are full of fluff, but this book isn't one of them. It gives you clear meaning and understanding on how to write your own C# codes and handle errors.

Online text visualization tools are a recent phenomenon on the World Wide Web. The potential of these tools to improve reading comprehension has not yet been empirically researched. Therefore, this book investigates if online text visualization tools can help to improve reading comprehension. In the empirical research a quasi-experimental method was applied. The data were collected via tests distributed among the students of an experimental group and a control group. The results of the tests show that both groups improved during the practice on the same topic. However, the students of the experimental group who had training with the tools improved more than the students of the control group. According to the results, the use of text visualization tools helped the students of the experimental group to improve their reading comprehension.

About the Author
Stephen E. Flowers studied Germanic and Celtic philology at the University of Texas and in G�ttingen, West Germany. He received his Ph.D. in 1984 in Germanic Languages and Medieval Studies. His dissertation was published in book form as Runes and Magic (Peter Lang, 1984). Other books by Dr. Flowers include Fire & Ice (Llewellyn, 1990) and Lords of the Left-Hand Path (R�na-Raven, 1997). He has also translated and edited The Secret of the Runes by Guido von List (Destiny, 1988) and the Icelandic grimoire The Galdrab�k (Weiser, 1989). He is presently the director of the Woodharrow Institute for Germanic and Runic Studies in Texas.

Michael Moynihan studied languages and history at the University of Colorado and Portland State University, and received his B.A. in German in 2000. He is the co-author with Didrik S�derlind of Lords of Chaos (Feral House, 1998), and has edited two books by the Italian traditionalist philosopher Julius Evola: Introduction to Magic (Inner Traditions, 2001) and Men Among the Ruins (Inner Traditions, 2002). He is the North American Editor of the journal R�na (London, UK) and contributes regularly to other periodicals.

Just Okay

Well...I read The Secret King and was not overly impressed. I wouldn't say it was horrible, but the book didn't hold my interest. I actually had he urge to stop reading after only a dozen or so pages, but plodded trough as best I could. Wilgut's influence on Himmler is undeniable, but there were other more significant factors that made Himmler the man that he was. Prior to and at the time the Nazi's came to power, pagan thought and occult practices captured the imagination of many Germans, especially the party's leadership. And Himmler was at the top of the heap. While The Secret King is certainly readable, there are better books on the topic that get to the root of Himmler's mind.

The Secret Reports of the Nazi SS Rune Magician

Dr. Stephen Flowers has provided use with a unique opportunity to look inside the works of one of the legendary Germanic Rune Magicians - Karl Maria Wiligut.

Beginning with a detailed introduction, Dr. Flowers then provides clear and understandable translations of Wiligut's writings that are available from no other easily accessible source. Wiligut was a contemporary of such men Guido von List and Jorg Lanz von Liebenfels, and was certainly influenced by the work of these great men.

Later in his life Wiligut was commissioned by Heinrich Himmler - leader of the Nazi SS - to write reports on the Runes, Germanic traditions and pre-Christian history. It is portions of this work that we find translated in "The Secret King".

Certainly not a book for the beginner or someone with a mere curiosity about the Runes, "The Secret King" provides depth and insight for those who have already gained more than a superficial knowledge of the topic in question.

Hmm.. lost me about 1/2 way through...

Well, the introduction gives a decent introduction to Wiligut's basic ideas, but I would have liked more background in Wiligut's involvement with the Nazi party and Himmler. There are vauge references to Wiligut being rejected by the Ahnenrbe as "too fanciful", but more treatment would have been a real bonus. An introduction to rune-ology, and its historical placement & impact on Germanic/Nazi thought would have helped place Wiligut in a broader historical perspective.
Wiligut's writings, which make up the bulk of the book are for the die-hard fan only. You will need a serious grounding in contemporary germanic metaphysical thought to get much out of it.
Layout & printing of the book present well (and it gets an extra star for it)
