John Newton - (1725-1807), Evangelical divine and hymn writer
Newton was born in London July 24, 1725, the son of a commander of a merchant ship which sailed the Mediterranean. When John was eleven, he went to sea with his father and made six voyages with him before the elder Newton retired. In 1744 John was impressed into service on a man-of-war, the H. M. S. Harwich. Finding conditions on board intolerable, he deserted but was soon recaptured and publicly flogged and demoted from midshipman to common seaman.

Finally at his own request he was exchanged into service on a slave ship, which took him to the coast of Sierra Leone. He then became the servant of a slave trader and was brutally abused. Early in 1748 he was rescued by a sea captain who had known John's father. John Newton ultimately became captain of his own ship, one which plied the slave trade.

Although he had had some early religious instruction from his mother, who had died when he was a child, he had long since given up any religious convictions. However, on a homeward voyage, while he was attempting to steer the ship through a violent storm, he experienced what he was to refer to later as his "great deliverance." He recorded in his journal that when all seemed lost and the ship would surely sink, he exclaimed, "Lord, have mercy upon us." Later in his cabin he reflected on what he had said and began to believe that God had addressed him through the storm and that grace had begun to work for him.

Too Old To Be Of Any Value

Too old to be of value. The whole range of computer information changes so very rapidly that this book was probably out of date the moment it was published. There is virtually no generic testing and trouble shooting procedures that could be transferrable to newer or more modern devices. This text has no redeeming reference mater that would make it useful to even keep on the shelf as a reference document. At this point this is a throw away book. Find the recycling bin and throw it. I purchased this book with my own funds and have not received any discount in exchange for my honest review. I loved all of their antics as they went out on ...

First of all this is not a romance book. This book is meant to be a quick read that will entertain you for the entire hour of your reading pleasure. I laughed so hard at times during this book. This novella is about the bachelor party that Ashton is throwing for Nate. I loved all of their antics as they went out on the town. The addition of Nate's dad and soon to be father in law was priceless. I loved that the entire night Nate was still thinking of Rosie. There were no women trying to turn them down the wrong path. This book is just enjoyable. I would pay $.99 again just for the entertainment. This book has no stress and no worries....just a good time!

I cant believe I actually enjoyed all the craziness in this story. I wish my future bachelorette party resembles this one because it will definitely be memorable and a great way to say goodbye to single life. Obviously, there are some events that happened that should be left for the guys, but us girls can come up with stuff too. If you want to know what goes down at a bachelor's party, then pick up One Wild Night. You will most definitely not regret it and enjoy this wild ride. It is a great funny, short story and a great novella to the Guarded Hearts series.

**When he made a growling sound and tore his shirt in half, throwing it at my feet, I just about lost it. Now it was my turn to scream like a pre-pubescent girl who had just been hugged by Harry Styles.**

As I had mentioned on a previews review for another short story of Kirsty Moseley, I had read all of her stories on Wattpad before they were published and also the ones that haven't been published—those stories being The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window, Always You, Enjoying The Chase, Nothing Left To Lose, Fighting To Be Free, Stalkers, Secrets and Lies and Alpha Bloodlines (except Free Falling and Bond Mates; I haven't read this story yet). This story contains minor spoilers to Nothing Left To Lose and Enjoying The Chase. Be sure to buy and read those two books first and then read One Wild Night.

Definitely wild

REVIEW- while I have read quite a few of Moseley's novels before, One Wild Night still left me gob smacked. There are very few authors who divert from their mainstream writing and remain successful. Moseley is one of those rare authors. Her writing is impeccable. The pace of the story was neutral throughout, making it easy for readers to understand what was going on. To describe the storyline without giving any spoilers is quite difficult, but if I had to choose one word, it would have to be WILD. This novella is filled with fun and lively incidents. The characters are witty and boisterous. While I Love Nate ( I mean we all do!), my favourite character would have to be Ashton. I mean Ashton has always held a soft spot in my heart, but in One Wild Night, I saw him in a different light, which made me love him even more. This novella is very different from Moseley's previous work, and I am proud to say that she has passed all my expectations. All the characters were essential in their own way and Moseley's representation of them was spot on for the story. I was just disappointed that this Wild Night ended too SOOON. So BEWARE, One Wild Night will keep you craving more!

Stepping Forward Together

Stepping Forward Together is a good "how to" book on how to increase organizational effectiveness. I've attended on of Mac's Workshops, and he provides many "tools" for use in the workplace. I certainly feel confident rating this book in the top 75% of all Leadership & Management books I've read in the last 6 yrs.

The Title Says It All

I participated in a Mac McIntire training seminar in 2006 and his "Mac-isms" are as relevant today as they were then. Building a team that consistently works together is a manager's biggest challenge and this book provides an excellent framework on which to build and incorporate your own company's culture.

Mac has finally given us all the long awaited written version of what he has given hundreds through his workshops. It is an easy but thought provoking read full of the "macisms" that make you a better manager and leader! A must have for anyone in a leadership position.
